Mellissa Doyle: It's coming up to twenty minutes to eight o clock well the Federal Government is planning to make internet censorship compulsory for all Australians. Controversial websites on euthanasia and onorexyia could be banned This will put our level of net censorship in the same league as China,Cuba, Iran and North Korea and users will not be able to opt out of the proposed national internet filter.

David Koch: Lets see what our Wednesday Allstars make of this, Jackie Frank of Marie Claire and sky News journalist John Mangos, good morning to you both.

Now Jackie we're running a phone poll on this this, this morning and so far 75% of people say the Govt Should not Censor the internet, what do you reckon?

Jackie Frank : I think you've got very sensible viewers as always, um, no I think its absolutely terrible the Govt, the role of the Government is not to put in, to make decisions for us, we've got to be individual responsible. There are illegal some of these sites,...

David Koch : Ok

Jackie Frank : ..you've got Nanny Net, you've got things in place where you can protect what comes into your home

David Koch : Ok On Marie Claire, you have to, magazine, you have to abide by rules you can be taken to the Press Council and things like that if you do something wrong. Wheres that on the internet?

Jackie Frank : ..yeah but,..

David Koch : How can you take action from some dodgy website from overseas

(***Right here Kochie Is stating what hes ACTUALLY against. " Non-Mainstream Websites" that are undermining The effect of Shows like Morning TV)

Jackie Frank : yeah but ...How do we... yeah but ... Take Marie Claire as an example, for example in China we have a censor that sits next to the editor in China to produce Chinese Marie Claire and goes through with a black pen and marks things out. So I wouldn't want to see any type of censorship otherwise thats the next step.

John Mangos : Oh I Absolutely agree and I wonder when I look at your poll what the other 25% are thinking I mean..

David Koch: Oh well Im thinking...

Mellissa Doyle: Can I share one with you?

David Koch: I'm actually thinking.... that... why... should we be exposed, to all these dodgy websites and our KIDS be exposed to dodgy websites overseas?.

Jackie Frank : So then put in.... yeah but ... yeah but you can.... there are ... yeah but thats a different matter..

John Mangos : David It is different.. and and

David Koch: Why?

John Mangos : and firstly we pride ourselves on being a free Democracy firstly. And secondly David it wont stop anything .. it won't stop peer to peer filesharing, so if I wanted to obtain some sort of adult content, say,

David Koch: You work under rules in the media at Sky News, internet works under no rules..

Noticing This, John Mangos is kinda surprised and later starts taking the "adult industry" theme basically calling Mel and Kochie Sold out Prostitutes.

David Koch: Yeah yeah We do we go to air We don't go to air with an R rating

John Mangos : Y'know we're a general public rating a family can watch our channel at any time because we put news to air same as this show right but when you go into resticted sites it says Are you over 18 you got to sign it you got to do this you got to do that...

Jackie Frank : It's not the Govts role to ..

John Mangos : Its not, y'know what David, its about the content its about our freedom,

Jackie Frank : Yeah

Mellissa Doyle: But isn't there a difference though between rules, establishing rules, and saying some sites you shouldn't look at and some you can though I dunno

John Mangos : Well Whos to tell us what we can and cant do though...

Jackie Frank : Exactly

John Mangos : ..I think I think at the end of the day its about that

David Koch: Well you Do...

John Mangos : what... In what sense?

David Koch: Sky News can't run everything..

John Mangos : nah but..

David Koch: You have rules you're governed you're regulated, on what you can show and cant show.

Jackie Frank : Oh Hang on alright throw it back to, throw it back on Marie Claire..

John Mangos : we cant show... David we can't show blood and guts over dinner thats a different story..

David Koch: Why?

John Mangos : Why?

Jackie Frank : We have no Censorship on Marie Claire whatsoever

David Koch: (Whimpers like a pussy)

Jackie Frank : Y'know, If want to run something and its a contrary to say management ...theres always that arguement and we always run it

David Koch: No no no no no but If I can.. if I ..hate what you've done.....

Jackie Frank : Hmmmm? Dont buy it

David Koch: Or is..against .. well I can take you to the Press Council and they can make a judgement over it ..

Jackie Frank : Yeah but... they can make a judgement over it but its not....no .. we we are able to run...

John Mangos :You You've surprised me this morning I mean if you wanted to boost your ratings, not that you need to.. you do the show naked. And you'll double your ratings so why dont you do it..

Jackie Frank : No no no no no

David Koch: Not sure that would work

Mellissa Doyle: What about this one from Chris from Hastings, As a step parent of an anorexic this is good news. Pro-Anorexia sites are murderous.

Jackie Frank : You know whats good news? The Govt getting behind.. um the health ..um and Education Departments and putting in prevention and education about anorexia and not stopping a site cos thats nopt going to make a difference to that young girl.

John Mangos : Jackies a hundred percent right, you know the other thing, as soon as you prohibit you make it sexy you make people want it even more. So think it through I dont think it belongs to Australian Society.

Mellissa Doyle: (Whispers to Kochie:) You've stirred them up this morning.....

 

The rest of the "segment " went on to talk about Beer stubby sizes and toilet paper
